What is High Perm 49®?

 

High Perm 49® is a nickel alloy.

 

Properties and Appearance

High Permeability “49” alloy is a 48% nickel-iron alloy. It is a dark gray metal with some shine. High Perm 49® belongs in the high temp metals.

High Perm 49® has exceptionally high permeability and low magnetizing forces, as well as a high saturation flux density and low core loss.

This versatile alloy makes it ideal for laminated cores, magnetic shields, and electronic and communication devices. It is highly sought after in aerospace and defense industries, for research and education, as well as electronics, automotive, and commercial fields.
