Chromel® is a nickel alloy.

 

Properties and Appearance

Chromel® is a dull white-gray metal containing 90% nickel and 10% chromium. Chromel® is part of the thermocouple alloys group.

Viable in a wide range of temperatures and oxidizing environments, Chromel® is the positive leg of both type E and K thermocouples.

The medical, automotive, alternative energy, and other industries use Chromel®.
